Kay Hatton

emerging artist

Kay Hatton is a self taught oil and acrylic painter dividing their practice between landscape painting en plein air, portraiture from life, and a sporadic mix of commission work. Their current focus is on oil painting; jumping between realism and impressionism, with an emphasis on nature. Outside of painting they work remotely in the medical device industry, which gives them the freedom to travel and practice en plein air painting around the world.

Born and raised in Australia, Kay is currently based out in South Devon near the coast. When they are home their time is split between painting in the field, working on commissions in studio, and occasionally doing their actual job.
